The PG-GJYXCH / PG-GJYXFCH series Outdoor Self-Supporting FTTH Drop Cable (bow-type / figure-8) is designed for the last-mile aerial connection in FTTH, FTTB and FTTX access networks. The optical fiber unit is positioned in the center of the cable, with two parallel strength members placed on both sides — phosphated steel wires (GJYXCH) or FRP rods (GJYXFCH) — and an additional self-supporting messenger wire (1.0 mm galvanized steel wire for GJYXCH, or 1.0 mm FRP for the all-dielectric GJYXFCH) integrated along the top of the figure-8 profile. The cable is completed with a black LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) flame-retardant outer sheath. Bend-insensitive fibers (ITU-T G.657A1 / G.657A2 / G.652D options, 1 or 2 cores) ensure reliable transmission even at tight installation bends. The overall figure-8 outline measures approx. 3.0 mm (width) x 5.0 mm (height) including the messenger, while the butterfly cable body itself is approx. 2.0 x 3.0 mm. The novel groove (flute) design allows tool-free stripping and fast splicing, while the self-supporting messenger bears the majority of the aerial tension, supporting spans up to 60 m without additional lashing hardware. The all-dielectric GJYXFCH variant offers lightning-proof and anti-rust performance for both indoor and outdoor FTTX deployments.
