The utility knife is designed for multi-core cable with casing or armored sheath. The main purpose is to cut the armor sheath of the outer layer of the cable to obtain the fiber optic wire inside. The tool knife is designed with precision. Adjustable blades avoid loss of fiber. For the outer diameter range of the cable, pay attention to the model. The blade of the utility knife can be set to a depth of 5.5 mm in various models.
Installation Instructions
Tool knife operation:
The steps according to 1-6 can be used for internal and external strengh structures (longitudinal utting)
1 Loosen the black thumb nut "A" and rotate the blade to move it longitudinally (blade radial cutting)
2. Place the cable into the loose tool and adjust the yelow finger knob "B"to an appropriate position.
3. Rotate the black thumb knob until the blade can cut the cable ongitudinally
4. Strp the cable jacket longitudinally while pulling the tool. If it is used tor a cable jacket with a "lay"hardnes, the blade
can be slightly rotated to adjust according to the hardness of the cable.
5 Loosen the black finger nut, then rotate the tool 180° around the cable and re-select the black knob for the second longitudinal
cut.
6. Separate and trim the cut cable with diagonal pliers or screwdriver.
7. If you need to cut the sheath, compare the strong cable, please stop in the sixth step.
8. The addition step is suitable for cutting the sheath and the cable is relatively strong (cable cutting)
9 For the cutting of the cable, the longitudinal cutting of the center of the cable sheath can be performed, and the predetermined
position of the sliding tool knite
10. Losen the black finger nut "A" , rotate the blade 90° for radial cutting and re-rotate the black knob to set the blade depth.
11. Cut around the cable rotation tool.
12. The cable has now been removed and then trimmed,
