1. Product Description:
The PG-SFPP8510GSR is a 10Gbps enhanced small form factor pluggable SFP+ transceiver compatible with 10GBASE-SR/SW. It is suitable for multi-mode fiber (MMF) communications in 10Gbps Ethernet.
Install or replace a multimode LC port on your Gigabit fiber networking equipment with Piogoods's PGSFPP8510GSR 10Gbase-SR SFP Transceiver. Compatible with many others brand routers and switches, the PGSFPP8510GSR is a budget-friendly solution for linking Gigabit Ethernet switches in a fiber optic network. It complies with SFP multi-source agreement (MSA) standards and its electrical interface is compliant with SFF-8431. This 10Gbase-SR transceiver supports data transfer rates up to 11.1 Gbps. Note: The PGSFPP8510GSR is sensitive to static and requires proper handling. Use an anti-static ESD Wrist Strap or similar device when handling the transceiver module.
Functionally Equivalent of SFP-10G-SR, Hot-Pluggable & Premium Features The PGSFPP8510GSR is functionally equivalent to others brand transceiver SFP-10G-SR and is manufactured to meet or exceed their specifications. You can use the PGSFPP8510GSR with a wide variety of their networking hardware and it will deliver the same performance as the SFP-10G-SR.
A hot-pluggable input and output allow you to install the PGSFPP8510GSR without interrupting your network. Just plug the SFP end of the transceiver into the SFP port on your network switch. The other end has a duplex LC connector to use with multimode fiber cable.
The PGSFPP8510GSR has an 850nm wavelength vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL). It transmits a distance of 300 meters using 10Gb duplex multimode 50/125 LC fiber cable . The PGSFPP8510GSR also supports digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM), providing you with the ability to monitor optical output power, optical input power, temperature, laser bias current and transceiver supply voltage.
